Trip Itinerary

DAY 1 · Welcome to Catalonia

Our trip starts in Barcelona, the meeting point will be at Estación de Francia at 10.00 am, where our staff will welcome you. We will then depart towards our destination, the Pyrenees. The trip will take about 2 hours.

Arrival at the hotel, check-in, briefing of the routes, after that we will have lunch and you will have the afternoon free to stroll around the area.

DAY 2 · Err - Nuria

Distance: 8 km
Altitude: 852 m.
Maximum altitude: 2,900 m.
Difficulty: Medium

Medium difficulty trekking tour through the Eastern Pyrenees. We will leave early from the town of Err in France, in the northern part of the Cerdanya valley, throughout the route there are breathtaking views and landscapes which are typical of high mountain regions. After 7 hours on route, we will reach Nuria valley, a wonderful Pyrenees enclave which can only be accessed either on foot or by rack railway, and it also has a small ski resort.

We will stay at the Santuario de Nuria hotel.

DAY 3 · Santuario de Nuria – Pico del Águila

Distance: 6 km
Altitude: 498 m.
Maximum altitude: 2,422 m.
Difficulty: Medium

Today we leave behind the magnificent Nuria valley but not before climbing to the top of the Pico del Águila and returning along the same route, this part is of moderate difficulty.

Once we arrive back at the sanctuary, we will get on the rack railway (special high mountain train) and head towards a typical mountain village called Ribas de Freser, where we will enjoy a typical lunch at one of its restaurants and then we will travel to the hotel (1:15 hour journey).

DAY 4 · Bouilloses Lakes Route

Distance: 8 km
Altitude: 274 m.
Maximum altitude: 2,243 m.
Difficulty: Low

The lake route will take us on a circular path within this beautiful enclave in the French part of the eastern Pyrenees, where will will go around some extremely beautiful lakes and picturesque landscapes.

Upon reaching the last lake, there will be a picnic lunch, some time to rest and then we will descend along a moderately difficult route that lasts for approximately 4 hours.

DAY 5 · Puigpedros peak

Distance: 13 km
Altitude: 925 m.
Maximum altitude: 2,915 m.
Difficulty: High

For today’s route we will be taken to the Malniu shelter from where our route will begin. We will gain height along a trail up to Malniu lake, of glacial origin, to then continue until reaching the Puig Pedros peak, the highest peak in the province of Girona, 2,915 m.

We will have a picnic lunch along the circular route. During the transfer from the shelter we will stop along the way at the typical mountain village of Maranges, where there will be a tasting of Pyrenees cheeses.

Return and dinner at the hotel
