In Cerdanya, one of the largest valleys in Europe, we have good temperatures and a dry climate, which allow us to practice hiking in excellent conditions.
We offer you a few days of active holidays and switching off from everyday life. Amidst an environment of great natural and cultural value, with great gastronomic options, where your only concern will be to walk and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Pyrenees.

DAY 1 · Welcome to Catalonia
Our trip starts in Barcelona, the meeting point will be at Estación de Francia at 10.00 am, where our staff will welcome you. We will then depart towards our destination, the Pyrenees. The trip will take about 2 hours.
Arrival at the hotel, check-in, briefing of the routes, after that we will have lunch and you will have the afternoon free to stroll around the area.
DAY 2 · Prats de Cadí
Distance: 7.6 km
Altitude: 360 m.
Maximum altitude: 1,826 m.
Easy excursion from Estana to Prat de Cadi, one of the most beautiful places in the Sierra del Cadí and the Catalan Pyrenees. Along a pleasant path we will reach the base of the north face of the Cadí, from where there is a nice view of the entire side of this mountain range, with in canals and rock walls.
On our way back we will stop for lunch in Montella, a small mountain village where we will visit a fully organic farm and will taste their products. Return and dinner at the hotel.
DAY 3 · Guils Fontanera -Lago de Malniu – Shelter
Distance: 8 km
Altitude: 360 m.
Maximum altitude: 2,264 m.
8 km-long linear route, from Guils Fontanera to the Malniu shelter passing by Malniu lake. The Malniu lake is of glacial origin, surrounded by pine trees and granite blocks, this is the main attraction point of the Puigpedrós mountain range, which thanks to its 2,915 m height looks over the entire Cerdanya valley and is bordered by the French State.
Once we reach the top, we can rest and enjoy a picnic lunch. We will then descend down to the shelter, where we will be picked up and driven to the village of Maranges about 2 km away. Here we stop for a guided tour and tasting typical Pyrenees cheeses. Return and dinner at the hotel
DAY 4 · Font Viva lake French Pyrenees
Distance: 6 km
Altitude : 281 m.
Maximum altitude: 1,926 m.
Today we will move into the French part where in a corner of the Porte valley we will reach the picturesque Font Viva lake which is located at the base of the mountain by the same name. This lake of round shapes and surrounded by small hills is the delight of fishermen, who in summer spend time in this beautiful area.
Upon reaching the lake, there will be a picnic lunch, some time to rest and then we will descend along an easy route that lasts for approximately 4 hours.
Return to the hotel, and dinner at a gourmet restaurant in LLivia.
DAY 5 · Villefranche de Conflent + Fort Liberia
Today’s route will consist of a transfer to Villefranche de Conlent, a medieval fortified town which is considered as one of the most beautiful in France, just an hour and a half from our hotel. Once in Villefranche we will walk along a path to the Fort Liberia fortification located in the high part of Villefranche, which was declare a World Heritage Site. We will descend through the tunnels that connect with Villefranche, with over 700 steps.
To then enjoy a typical lunch in a restaurant in Villefranche, followed by some leisure time and we will return using the yellow train. This train dates back to the beginning of the century, it was built to connect the Catalan highlands on a 3-hours journey that runs through viaducts and tunnels on a route with breathtakingly beautiful landscapes.
